China – Shanghai, 16-18 October, 2009
Heiko was invited again to judge at the 4th Chinese Discus Championship, which took place at the Shanghai International Ornamental Fish and Fishing Exhibition in Chinas most modern city from 16-18 October, 2009.
The 4th Chinese Discus Championships was very well organized and excellent layout and beautifully decorated. The reception was exceptional and every lunch and diner only the finest foods were served at top restaurants to all the judges invited.
The Comity, which invited Heiko Bleher, were mainly Prof. Chen (extreme left) and Mrs. Jane the organizer (extreme right), as well as the Minister of Fisheries (next to Heiko) and all the other Chinese VIP persons involved in Fisheries and Natural resources.
The judges.
We had to correct the judging sheet, Kelvin from Singapore and I changed it to include the two striped discus into open class, as it was impossible to judge only two.
Judging took over 3 hours late into the night for more than 60 discus fishes in 7 classes – see below.
