La 5ème exposition et conférence de Shanghai sur les poissons ornementaux aura lieu une nouvelle fois au Shanghai Agricultural Exhibition Hall sur 7 600 m2. Après plus de vingt ans de croissance, l’industrie du poisson ornemental s’est avérée une entreprise d’avenir en Chine, l’une des plus importantes du pays et peut-être la plus grosse au monde dans le secteur. D’après les statistiques des départements concernés, les millions de personnes qui y sont employées génèrent environ 50 milliards de valeur industrielle en Chine, avec une augmentation annuelle de plus de 15%. Cette industrie a créé de nombreuses fortunes dans ce pays. Aquapress Publishers et Heiko Bleher y participeront une nouvelle fois, comme ils l’ont fait lors des deux dernières éditions de 2009 et 2008.

The 2010 Shanghai International Ornamental Fish and Fishing Exhibition will take place for the 5th time on 15-17 October, 2010, after amazing success in 2009 and 2008, and this year in an even bigger beautiful central located hall during the last days of the SHANGHAI EXPO 2010.
After more than 20 years of growth, the ornamental fish industry has been gradually developed into a burgeoning industry in China.
According to the statistics of relevant departments, millions of people employed in this industry are annually bringing about 50 billions of industrial value in China, with an annual increment of more than 15%. The ornamental fish industry has created great fortunes for China, especially promoted the development of pet fish culture, and greatly prompted urban and rural employments. Ornamental fish is one of the most popular pets in the world. With the improvement of standard living, people recently pursue hobbies for health and leisure. Thus, ornamental fish, fish tank and fishing turn into a new fashion for Chinese consumers. Meanwhile, this industry has become a new growth point of fisheries. And the rise of ornamental fish industry has stimulated the accessories such as fishing tools, feed, drugs and equipments.
The ornamental fish industry is an inevitable trend of modern urban fishery. The developed eastern coastal areas in China have possessed a certain economic strength to boost this industry. For example, GDP per capita of Shanghai is above 7000 dollars, which has brought about a broad market for the ornamental fish industry, so that more top grade fishes have entered into families. In addition, Shanghai has tremendous advantages to develop ornamental fish industry, i.e. unique geographical location and cultural heritage, accumulated talents and information, and well-developed transportation system. Shanghai is the earliest export trading centre of ornamental fish in China, with similar transportation conditions to Singapore. Therefore, Shanghai has successively held the exhibitions to advance the development of modern urban fishery.
This unique annual event in China is hosted by Fisheries Office of Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, the Shanghai Fisheries Trade Association, and organized by Shanghai International Agricultural Exhibition Center, the Shanghai Ocean University and the Shanghai NIU International Exhibition Co. Ltd., as well as supported by the China Fisheries Association
No one in the world-wide ornamental fish industry should miss this unique event, possibly now the largest annual exhibition, conference and competition of the classes of Discus, Koi and Goldfish in Asia. Aquapress and Heiko Bleher will also be participating for the third time.
