On two expeditions in 2007 and 2008 Heiko Bleher was able to discover for the first time in history by white man what he believes is the largest natural freshwater aquarium in the world. It is a crystal clear, over 60 km long river covered almost in its entire length with underwater plants...
Heiko Bleher has been invited by Discusowl Hikari Ikeda, to hold seminars during three days, in Nagoya and in Tokyo, Japan. The schedule is for the three day seminars is from 9:00 to 17:00 each day. In Nagoya the seminar is held at the NCA (Nagoya Communication Arts) School for their students.
The First International Aquaristic and Discus Fair will take place in Naples, Italy from 23-26 September 2010. Including the International Discus Championship with worldwide participation. There will be 200 Discus in competition from around the globe judged by an International Jury, from Poland, U.S.A., Russia, Turkey, Germany, Singapore, China, Malaysia and Italy, including Heiko Bleher. And Heiko Bleher will present also several lectures and Seminars. This worldwide unique event is not to be missed by anyone who is interested in ornamental fishes and aquariums, and for sure not by anyone who loves discus – only the best Discus from around the world will be displayed and judged in 12 categories.

2nd Volume of Heiko Bleher's new yearly publication. It shows again the real aquatic world in nature, the expeditions to collect
life aquatic creatures and plants, to bring them back alive and
introduce them into the most beautiful hobby in the world. Heiko wants
for readers to see how fishes live naturally and how they should be
kept in aquaria, for people to have the healthiest, nature-like
environment in their home, office or school. To stimulate every nature
and animal lover to have (or create) a biotope-correct-aquarium. In
order to appreciate the aquarium even more, and to have their fishes
feel like “at home” in such a natural environment.
