This summer, Aquapress is developing the french part of its website. Very soon, French-speaking people will be able to read new translations of the former pages and more and more texts in French (all biotopes shows, latest expeditions, etc.).
For a website even more open to the nature lovers of all countries.
Meanwhile, already available also in French language the elusive edition of Bleher's Biotope n°1, about aquatic biotopes in nature and aquariums, and discoveries in unexplored regions of the world...

On two expeditions in 2007 and 2008 Heiko Bleher was able to discover for the first time in history by white man what he believes is the largest natural freshwater aquarium in the world. It is a crystal clear, over 60 km long river covered almost in its entire length with underwater plants...

Japan - Nagoya & Tokyo, 10-12 September, 2010

Heiko Bleher has been invited by Discusowl Hikari Ikeda, to hold seminars during three days, in Nagoya and in Tokyo, Japan. The schedule is for the three day seminars is from 9:00 to 17:00 each day. In Nagoya the seminar is held at the NCA (Nagoya Communication Arts) School for their students.

This worldwide unique event is not to be missed by anyone who is interested in ornamental fishes and aquariums, and for sure not by anyone who loves discus – only the best Discus from around the world will be displayed and judged in 12 categories.

I just returned today, June 10th, 2010, from the funeral of Fang Fang Kullander, the wife of Sven O. Kullander, an amazing ichthyologist whom I have had the honour to become friends with. We had been together on several Ichthyological Congresses around the world, the last time in Perth, Australia, at the 8th Indo-Pacific Fish Congress , hardly a year ago when she felt fine and looked great... I met Fang Fang for the first time at the  Ichthyological Congress in Trieste on 29 August 1997 and we had immediately an understanding...

Vi mostrerà, ancora, il vero mondo acquatico in natura, le sue spedizioni atte a  documentare la corretta realtà acquatica di flora e fauna, riprodurre dal vivo, metterli a portata dell'hobby più bello del mondo. Heiko vuole donare ai lettori una visione realistica di come i pesci vivono in natura e di come dovrebbero essere mantenuti sani, ricreando i parametri estetici naturali, negli acquari  di casa, ufficio o scuola. Uno studio completo e insuperato del genere Symphysodon

È compito del lettore decidere se l’originaria scoperta del discus vada attribuita all’Imperatore Napoleone oppure al Principe von Metternich, tuttavia il resto di questo lavoro di oltre 1200 pagine, diviso in due parti, è tutt’altro che ambivalente.
