Some of the new Apistogramma varieties Heiko Bleher found on his trip to the Rio Aracá and Rio Jari in 2007
Apistogramma cf. paucisquamis was found by Heiko Bleher last November in the region of Rio Aracá and has been now successfully reproduced by the famous German breeder Peter Günnel. For more information about the trip to Rio Aracá please visit
Apistogramma sp. 2 was also discovered by Heiko Bleher in 2007 in the region of the Rio Jari, Amazonas, and has been reproduced as well by Peter Günnel. Both Apistogrammas shown are males.
