Turkey – Istanbul, April, 2009
Heiko was invited by Mustafa Kahraman to visit Turkey’s largest and oldest ornamental fish wholesaler on the European side of Istanbul, the company Yonica Akvaryum. Father and son, Ridvan Imamogul and Turan Imamogul, run this large ornamental fish wholesale place on the European side of Istanbul with weekly imports from around the world. With over 500 aquariums (10 % of which is marine) and even a beautiful area to relax while the fishes are packed. Here one can appreciate decorated aquariums or read. The entire operation is monitored (cameras) to control every angle of this large installation.
