Malaysia – Kuala-Lumpur, 20-23 November 2008
The Aqua Fair 2008 in Kuala Lumpur hosted also a very beautiful planted Aquarium Competition – below some of the aquariums in the competition
Some of these even had a very nice group of fishes, particular beautiful the Hyphessobrycon amandae also called the red fire tetra (one of the Heiko’s discoveries named in honour of his late mother Amanda Bleher) and one with a group of Hemigrammus bleheri – (also his discovery)…
…and judging for the beautifully planted aquariums was difficult for the international judges…
Prize for healthiest plants (left) and the 3rd Prize for best fish community tank (right)…
…and 1st Prize & Grand Champion…
…2nd Prize … and…
…Prize for the best stone arrangement
There were also many well-planted aquariums out of competition, even nanos and for the first time Asian arowanas in nicely planted aquariums (like it should be!)…
…but also some with very few (plast) plants and a wiered combination of fishes, like here goldfishes with barbs…
…but again some very good planted aquarium could be found throughout this unique event, the Aqua Fair 2008. Congratulations to the Government of Malaysia and Jonathan Tan, the chief executive officer of the Fairs & Events Management SDN BHD
