Hudson, owner of HEKDISCUS http://www.hek.com.br/ , is a very good friend who has made a field trip to the location where Heiko discovered the first Heckel Discus Symphysodon discus in the 1990s, the Rio Nhamundá, and also to the Lago Nhamundá, where Blue and Brown Discus (S. haraldi) live. Heiko went several times with Manuel Torres (see Bleher’s Discus, Vol. I ) collecting and introduced the first Discus form the area into the hobby. There are some very nice variants of S. haraldi in the lake and some populations live near rocky (lava-stone) habitat, which is rare for Discus in Amazonia. Manuel had later started to collect selective the beauties in the night and today his son follows his father’s footsteps. Hudson, proprietario di HEKDISCUS http://www.hek.com.br/, è un ottimo amico che ha fatto una spedizione nella stessa zona in cui Heiko ha scoperto il primo Discus Heckel Symphysodon discus nel 1990, nel Rio Nhamundá, e anche al Lago Nhamundá, dove vivono Discus Blu e Marrone (S. haraldi). Heiko è andato più volte con Manuel Torres (vedi Bleher’s Discus Vol. 1) e racconto e introdotto la prima forma di Discus hobby acquario. Ci sono alcune molto belle varianti di S. haraldi nel lago e alcune popolazioni vivono vicino a un habitat roccioso (in pietra lavica), che è raro per i Discus in Amazzonia. Manuel aveva poi iniziato a raccogliere e selezionare i pesci di notte e oggi il figlio segue le orme del padre.
