Ed Plesko in London, Ontario, Canada, is a pharmacist by profession, but an amazing fish keeper and breeder.
Heiko brought for Tom Sarac of Rolf C. Hagen Canada 6 beautiful blue wild caught discus and also to decorate an Alenquer region biotope-aquarium.
Ed Plesko was so kind to help to keep those discus after the CAOAC Convention and Conferences to which Rolf C. Hagen had invited Heiko. This meeting with Ed made it possible to see Ed’s amazing fish installation in London, Ontario. Below some photos of his fantastic fishes…
Ed helped Heiko with the blue discus for his biotope and showed him some of this great fishes like this Sturiosoma sp.…
…also fantastic Rineloricaria sp. over sandy ground…
…and an amazing variety of rare Corydoras species, like Corydoras rabauti (left), Corydoras weitzmani (centre), Corydoras concolor…
Or Corydoras fowleri (left), Corydoras haraldschultzi (centre) and Ed keeps his Corydoras correctly over white silika sand
He also had a juvenile Brachyplatysoma juruense from Peru, which poses, as in nature, only on its pelvic fins! (These catfishes have a reduced swim bladder)
And Ed places in many (manly Cichlid) aquariums cell kind of décor-material for the fishes to be able to hide and lay their eggs, like here for these beautiful yellow Labidochromis caeruleus (each one found its niche in the brick)
Ed has many very nice Malawi Cichlids Like (from top): Otopharynx lithobates; Sciaenochromis ahli and breeding Geophagus sp. everywhere
