Norbert Zajac had invited Heiko again to decorate 4 authentic biotope aquariums at the 12th Zierfische & Aquarium, the largest bi-annual ornamental fish exhibition & conference on Earth. It took place combined with the 1st International Cichlid exhibition in Europe and Heiko has collected recently Iranocichla for it as well as cichlids in Nicaragua. Herbert Nigl owner of Europe’s largest fish import company, Aquarium Dietzenbach, has helped with additional amazing fish species specially selected by Heiko for his biotopes and Zajac supplied the décor materials and plants.

Nearly 30,000 visitors appreciated the biotopes with compliments such as “decorated authentic to nature”, “the most beautiful decorated aquariums at the exhibition” and such words as “…really decorated with love…”  And Natasha has made beautiful photos and videos of the behaviour of these fishes in their authentic created second “home”… see for yourself. One has to start by washing very well sand, gravel and stones (very important)… On top one can see the biotopes from far finished, then before and after the people started to come. Below the 4 biotopes in nature above water and if you go to Read more… it will lead to the individual biotope under the water surface and videos…
