Finland – Helsinki, 26-27 April 2008
Finland hosted its first PetExpo in 2008 in Helsinki and more than 50,000 came, paying Euro 13 entrance fee, to see a thousand different cats, hundreds of dogs and rabbits, dwarf horses, lamas, reptiles, tarantulas and aquarium fishes. The pet fair was only open for two days, but hosted also an aquascape competition between Finnish aquarium clubs, of which the public had to judge the best aquarium decoration.

The Finnish girl Sanna Paakkanen, who had already participated at the International Aquatic Plants Layout Contest 2006 and made the 79th place out of a few thousand, has won the public’s first prize in the aquascape competition…
…and the first prize for Sanna’s aquascape was Bleher’s Discus Vol. I handed out by Heiko Bleher…
…the second prize went to a marine aquascape by Sea Life, Finland, and…
…the third prize to a Victoria Lake habitat with the correct species Haplochromis from the lake by Finnish Cichlid society “Ciklidistit”
But all aquariums for the competition were very nice decorated, here two more of the 10 entries
